The Position
Swyft are currently recruiting a Financial Controller reporting to the CEO. The appointed candidate will be a key member of the management team.
The Role
The role involves managing both the financial and management accounting aspects of all Swyft Energy businesses based at The Rubicon Centre, Bishopstown, Cork.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage P&L and Balance Sheet
2. Prepare and present management accounts timely on a monthly basis
3. Deliver financial and management reports including aspects of projections/financial modelling/budgeting and ad hoc reporting as required.
4. Manage AR (including grants), AP, Bank, POP, inventory control, and asset register.
5. Cashflow forecasting
6. Product costing reviews, margin analysis and overhead reporting
7. Process and file all revenue returns (VAT, RCT, PAYE) as well as liaising with revenue on any queries
8. Manage payroll for employees and contractors
9. Ensure that the business remains compliant with statutory, legal and insurance requirements
10. Work with external partners to prepare year-end accounts for statutory reporting.
11. Prepare annual budgets and interim forecasts when required
12. Manage financial administrative roles
Qualifications and Skills:
1. An experienced Financial Controller
2. Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
3. 5+ Year’s post qualification experience
4. Experience in financial software packages
5. Strong people & management skills
6. Sound business knowledge
7. Accuracy and eye for detail
8. Prioritise work based on business and statutory needs
9. Ability to work under pressure autonomously and as part of a team
10. Good oral and written communication skills
11. Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
12. Ability to identify and drive new processes and continuous improvement initiatives
13. Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP and tax regulations.
