Description of Role:
We are looking for a full-time Group Reservations Supervisor to join the Trigon Hotel Group's Central Reservations Office based in the Cork Airport Hotel in Cork. This role will suit a results-orientated, ambitious, and highly organised person who enjoys learning and working in a fast-paced environment. The role be part of a team within an office environment. You will work with colleagues, team members, and managers to achieve department and organisational goals.
Main Duties Include:
* Provide exceptional customer service for clients at enquiry stage and beyond for all properties within Trigon Hotels.
* Handle all reservation queries as per the company's mystery shopper standard ensuring all relevant questions are asked to ensure accurate reservation details are recorded.
* Ensure reservations team accurately enter all bookings into the PMS system and cross-check against online/third-party bookings making sure all details match.
* Train and develop new and existing reservations team members.
* Achieve forecasted revenue targets for the organisation as a team.
* Manage group and tour bookings from enquiry and quotation stage through to prepayment and confirmation and handover to hotel.
* Become a subject matter expert on all aspects of Reservations, maximising conversions and identifying appropriate opportunities to upsell and cross-sell.
* Understand all promotions, packages, and pertinent information.
* Communicate effectively, ensuring all requests and queries from the Hotels are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner.
* Understand Hotel PMS Systems, Rate Setup and Revenue Management Systems; however, full training will be provided.
* Familiarity with GDS systems and reviewing hotel rates displayed there.
Requirements:
* A good understanding of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Knowledge of Hotel PMS systems is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Previous experience in a hotel reservations or front office supervisory role is desirable.
* Good customer service skills.
* Organised and ability to work to deadlines.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
