Site Engineer / Technician (Public Service)
We are seeking highly skilled Site Engineers and Site Technicians to work on drainage and flood risk management projects in the South West Region of Ireland.
Job Summary
This is a challenging opportunity for candidates with a strong background in civil engineering, who are able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
* Organise, direct, and supervise project construction and maintenance.
* Produce method statements and risk assessments.
* Set out including levelling / Total-station / GPS work.
* Assist in the assessment of Section 50 and Minor Works applications.
* Monitor works and ensure compliance with design drawings and specification.
* Manage Quality Assurance file, including concrete QA, earthworks QA, and Survey QA.
* Investigate and report on matters arising from project construction and maintenance.
* Liaise with public bodies, local authorities, and individuals.
* Implement QA procedures and manage sub-contractors.
* Disseminate information to foremen, operatives, subcontractors, and others.
* Interpret design plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
* Provide assistance with procurement of goods and services.
* Liaise with local authority and stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate site reports and records.
Requirements:
* Level 7 degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* 3 years' experience with a main contractor on civil engineering projects.
* Current Safe Pass Card and Valid driving licence.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and IT skills.
* Right to work in the EU.
