Sales Applications Engineer
This role is responsible for delivering consulting services to global customers in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with colleagues to define and develop technical and commercial proposals, ensuring timely review and response to client requests.
* Interpret customer performance requirements and develop optimal technical solutions, interfacing with Operations functions to communicate customer needs.
* Exercise judgement and good communication in resolving conflicting customer expectations regarding price, performance or schedule.
* Provide sales support, including advice on product strategies, expertise at meetings with clients, training on product capabilities/differentiation, and bid decisions.
* Develop marketing materials, such as presentations, brochures, and website content, to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and differentiation.
* Support new product launches by training sales teams and interfacing directly with potential customers.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science (Chemical or Mechanical engineering preferred).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in biopharmaceutical capital equipment engineering/design, bioprocess sciences, and/or applications/product management.
* Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate both technical issues and commercial situations.
* Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
* Prior experience in Applications/Product Management/Bioprocess Engineering is preferred.
