Job Description
The Senior Assistant Manager Capital & Statistical Reporting role contributes to the overall success of Capital and Statistical Regulatory Reporting within Finance, GBM Dublin – Scotiabank (Ireland) DAC. The position ensures specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives, while ensuring all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships, leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
* Accurately prepare capital adequacy internal management information & regulatory returns as required via Axiom, SIDAC's automated regulatory reporting platform.
* Ensure adequate processes, systems, and reconciliations are in place to ensure regulatory returns are completed accurately and on time.
* Support the Regulatory Change Manager by contributing to automation activities within SIDAC's regulatory reporting platform.
* Maintain and build thorough knowledge of regulatory reporting standards/developments relevant to SIDAC and BNS.
* Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls.
* Contribute to a high-performance environment and foster an inclusive work environment, supporting the vision/values/business strategy for the team.
Requirements:
* University Degree and/or Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) and/or other relevant Financial Management/Accounting qualification.
* Solid previous experience relevant to the role.
* Solid knowledge of operational and regulatory requirements within the Financial Services Industry.
* Techincal and business understanding of CRR/CRD, local regulatory guidance, and in particular capital aspects of regulatory reporting.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly numerate and accurate with highly developed analytical and accounting capabilities.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to constant change.
* Good team player with excellent knowledge of business application software, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
