The Role of a Maintenance Technician is to support the Maintenance Manager in the maintenance and safe upkeep of our various properties, completing repair orders for general repairs as requested within the allotted time frame.
This will include the following on a day-to-day basis:
* Live our Mission, Vision and Values
* Completes repair orders for general repair as requested
* Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment
* Perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and laundry equipment
* Assigns with proper training and direction completion of preventative maintenance work or repairs
* Completes all necessary reporting and documentation as required
* Ensures that property and equipment are maintained in a safe manner, and that all repairs are made as specified by manufacturer
* Complies with company's safety/security rules and instructions in performing work efficiently
* Participate in a rotational on-call system
Knowledge:
* Knowledge of materials and techniques are essential
Experience:
* 1 Year previous experience in a similar role
Skills:
* Excellent organisational skills / self-motivated / self-starter
* Excellent verbal, written communication skills
* Willingness to work as part of a multi-departmental team
* Willingness to learn
* Dedicated, reliable and flexible approach to work
