Purpose / Overview
Take full responsibility throughout the night shift for the hotel and guest security, carry out reception duties as well as maintaining the agreed standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Ensure that all guest needs are catered to and always maintain a courteous and helpful manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the safety & security of the hotel and its guests.
2. Check in and out hotel guests as required and assist with guest requests in relation to luggage/porterage.
3. Ensure the cleanliness of all areas of the hotel is maintained.
4. Set up function rooms, breakfast area, etc. as directed by the manager on duty and as per the nightly checklist.
5. Maintain the front entrance and outside of the hotel, ensuring it is clean and tidy at all times, including emptying bins and picking up rubbish.
6. Understand the hotel's fire procedures to ensure the safety of all staff and guests.
7. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a "Can do" attitude.
8. Be energetic and flexible regarding hours/shifts.
9. Demonstrate initiative while adhering to company policies and procedures.
10. Maintain awareness of hygiene & cleanliness standards for the hotel.
11. Cater to all guest needs and requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
12. Maintain strict confidentiality in line with the company General Data Protection Regulation Policy and Confidentiality Agreement.
13. Maintain a tidy, clean, and orderly appearance in all areas.
14. Understand emergency procedures.
15. Follow Comer Group Ireland Work Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.
16. Ensure all Work Health and Safety procedures are adhered to within the Department.
17. Report hazards, near misses, and accidents at the workplace immediately.
18. Ensure security procedures for stores, cash, premises, team members, equipment, and chemicals are implemented and maintained in accordance with Comer Group Ireland policies and procedures.
19. Ensure customer security and privacy are maintained at all times.
Qualifications
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* A degree in Facilities Management would be desirable, while not essential.
* Knowledge of the Hospitality Industry.
* IT proficiency is essential.
* Ability to accurately complete tasks and maintain responsibilities in a timely manner.
* A high level of attention to detail.
* Excellent written, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Minimum 1-2 years receptionist experience within a similar position at a similar sized property.
* Previous experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
