Job Title: Finance Assistant
Your new company will be an independent wholesale business with over 30 years of experience, operating outlets throughout the Northwest and employing a team of over 40 people.
About the Role:
As a Finance Assistant, you will join a dedicated team of accounting professionals at their Derry City office.
Main Duties:
* Review and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring they match purchase orders and receiving reports
* Enter invoice details into the accounting system and maintain accurate records
* Process payments and deal with suppliers to answer any queries
* Reconcile accounts payable transactions and generate reports
* Assist the team with accounts receivable duties and other finance administration as needed
Requirements:
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
* Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Able to work in a team environment and on own initiative
What You'll Get:
You will work for an established local business on a full-time basis, 35 hours per week. Working 30 hours per week may also be considered if needed. A competitive salary will be offered.
