We are seeking a Laboratory Quality Control Analyst for our client's QC Lab in Shannon.
This Irish company is the country’s largest manufacturer of chemicals for safe drinking water production and wastewater treatment. Operating from a state-of-the-art facility in Shannon, accredited with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications, the company supplies products to both the Irish and UK markets.
This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 standards.
About Your New Job
As the QC Analyst, you will:
* Conduct analysis of raw materials, in-process, finished product, and retention samples in accordance with specifications.
* Perform finished product analysis per IS EN standards and other guidelines provided by the Lab Manager or SHEQ Manager.
* Ensure achievement of laboratory KPIs related to analytical work.
* Adhere to management systems and protocols on a daily basis.
* Ensure correct labelling of laboratory reagents and samples.
* Collaborate with the QC Department to resolve any analytical issues.
* Assist in maintaining up-to-date laboratory SOPs and specifications to ensure compliance.
* Participate in "non-conformance" investigations and Laboratory Investigation Reports.
* Regularly update and maintain personal training records to comply with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.
* Assist in the purchase of QC consumables and coordinate with approved suppliers.
* Contribute to projects as directed by the SHEQ Manager and Lab Manager, and participate in the Company's Continuous Improvement initiatives.
What Skills You Need
* Minimum 3 years in a similar environment/laboratory
* Degree in Science or equivalent
* Experience in all or any of the following is essential: Spectrometry, wet chemistry (titrations, pH, density, turbidity, moisture analysis and maintenance of associated instrumentation).
* Experience in an industrial Laboratory would be advantageous.
* Proficient in various lab software programmes would be advantageous.
