We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team at a global pharmaceutical company.
Job Description
The Project Engineer will provide engineering support and problem-solving for existing equipment and manufacturing processes within a Bio-pharmaceutical plant.
Responsibilities
1. Manage small-to-mid-sized projects related to process equipment and manufacturing
2. Assist in the design review, site acceptance, and installation of equipment
3. Update piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and other related drawings
4. Update Process Flow Diagrams for manufacturing processes
5. Update system Functional Specifications (FS) and execute automation updates with site automation department i.e. testing code updates by running system operations
6. Assist in investigations of process equipment, utility systems, and control system anomalies, as well as safety incidents
7. Identify and implement corrective/preventative actions (CAPAs) for existing equipment and manufacturing processes
8. Identify and implement process improvements for manufacturing processes and utilities
9. Prepare engineering evaluations and test plans for and execute site change control documentation
10. May supervise mechanical, electrical, and automation contractors
11. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by enforcing procedures, policies, and regulations
12. Maintain company reputation by enforcing compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations
13. Identify opportunities to introduce equipment improvements and latest technologies
* Assist with tech transfer activities, such as process scale up and New Product Introductions (NPIs).
Requirements
14. Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering
15. 3-5 years' experience in the relevant industry and direct experience with biopharmaceutical process equipment is preferred
* Experience with design and commissioning within the biopharmaceutical sector would be desirable
