Hays are exclusively representing a multinational manufacturing group that is in a scaling up phase, making acquisitions that are growing the business and creating new opportunities. This role has been newly created as the current FC is stepping up to focus on the bigger picture, creating the need for a Finance Manager to take over the day-to-day management of their largest distribution entity.
The company has a long tenure with people working there for 20+ years and they are looking for someone who will ideally want to stay with them long-term too. Although they are a multinational, the company has an SME feel where everyone knows one another, and it's a very friendly and non-hierarchical environment. With all the acquisitions and growth, there will be ample interesting projects for you to get involved in, such as systems implementations and M&A due diligence, so you can continually diversify your experience.
This is a fully office-based role in Dublin West, parking is available and there is flexibility around the working hours.
Your new role
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will join a finance team of 5 people, with 3 direct reports. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Prepare management accounts and oversee the month-end closing process with a 5-day strict deadline for close.
* Assist the FC with budgeting and forecasting.
* Ensure tax (VAT, RCT, PAYE, and CT) and regulatory compliance.
* Day-to-day management of the finance team.
* Manage treasury, cash flow, and working capital requirements.
* Prepare and process payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.
* Lead the annual audit process, resolving any queries and liaising with auditors.
* Systems implementation.
* Assist with the integration of acquired entities.
* Ad-hoc reporting to the group.
* Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and controls and streamline reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
* You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA) to be eligible for this role.
* You will be looking for a long-term job and have a history of long tenure.
* You must have people management experience.
* You must have experience working to tight deadlines.
* Payroll experience is highly advantageous.
* Dynamics365 experience is advantageous but not essential.
