Description
Scurri optimises the ordering, shipping and delivery processes for a growing list of online retailers and distribution companies. We make it easier for well known brands to ship goods to their customers around the world.
We have an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant to join the growing Scurri finance team as an accounts assistant. Reporting to the CFO, this role has significant scope for development and will play an important part in supporting the continued scaling of the company.
This is a full time / permanent / hybrid role (3 days office ) based out of our stunning new Wexford Town HQ.
Key Responsibilities
* Full responsibility for Accounts Payable, Banking, and Month End Support.
* Work closely with the Finance Manager on the preparation of the monthly and annual accounts, and supporting all elements of financial reporting.
* Collaborate with the Finance Manager, CFO and all members of the Finance team to ensure a smooth and efficient department.Processing banking payments and receipts, reconciling bank accounts and investigating any discrepancies.
* Accounts Payable – processing of purchase invoices, creditor payments and reconciliation of creditors.
* Staff expenses and pre-paid credit cards - process and manage the staff expenses and pre-paid credit card process.
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including month end close processes.
* Support audit processes by providing evidence and documentation to auditors.
* Various other ad-hoc reporting and administrative tasks as and when required by finance. Including providing holiday or sickness cover across other finance roles.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Must have tremendous initiative and drive to perform tasks independently with high energy positivity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work closely with other finance team members in achieving tight deadlines.
* Be resourceful, creative and flexible in approach and attitude towards work assignments and challenges.
* Have a can-do attitude and a desire to support other departments or external stakeholders which may be dependent on finance processes.
* Fantastic attention to detail, excellent organisation skills and a proven ability to work to deadlines.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the G-Suite of applications.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Accounting Technician or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Commercially minded.
* Experience working in a scaling startup, SaaS or tech environment would be advantageous.
* Study support will be provided where required.
