We have an immediate need for a VMware Security Services Architect to join our team in the UK or US. The Security Services Architect will be part of a team whose members on average have more than 20 years working with VMware technologies. This team's core responsibility is guiding clients on implementation of security best practices as it relates to VMware, in particular the vSphere family of products. This role will be expected to contribute to defining and delivering Spinnaker Support’s approach to security within the 3rd party support and managed service markets. We are looking for individuals that have experience working in large organizations that utilized managed services.
Requirements:
* 8+ years’ experience working with vSphere, vSAN, and ESXi technology
* Troubleshooting experience within VMware Stack/Products
* VMware security hardening experience
* VMware certifications
* 5+ years’ experience in a large client-facing role
* Analytical mindset for identifying vulnerabilities and proposing effective solutions
Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate strong technical and leadership skills to drive results with proven multitasking capabilities in a team environment
* Actively participate in developing complete solutions to complex security support-related issues and requests
* Manage, scope and execute security projects for support, services, and consulting
* Be resourceful in working with the team, look for new ideas, and processes to help the team work more efficiently.
* Work closely with managers from other teams and regions in supplying services, support, and consulting resources within the security domain
* Ability to work well both independently and with a core support team without close supervision.
* Ability to effectively communicate, work with and liaise between customer core team members (users, management, IT), internal support team members (management, sales, and support), and other contractors
* Strong service-oriented customer engagement, team leadership, and pre-sale support skills
* Exceptional communication skills and issue/project management skills
* Familiarity with the security architecture across multiple deployment platforms (network, firewall, computer, storage, database, and application)
* Understanding of common network topologies and their application to security mitigation.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and document details for complex solutions
* Solid organizational and consultative skills
* Goal-oriented with high standards for quality and performance.
