Communications & Grants Executive (Fixed Term)
BUMBLEance Children’s Ambulance Service, a registered charity, is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team.
About the Role
The Communications & Grants Executive will work as a part of the Partnerships & Communications Team, supporting Communications and Grants Fundraising Programme.
The Communications & Grants Executive will be an organised, passionate individual who can manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines. They will possess excellent stakeholder management skills, an ability to develop high-quality written content and a flexible working style.
This role is an exciting new opportunity within the Fundraising Team at BUMBLEance. The key responsibilities of this role are divided between two main areas and the below list of responsibilities highlights the allocation of time spent between each. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day maintenance of social media platforms, identify new grant opportunities, complete applications for funding and support Communications operations. Responsibilities will also include supporting Campaigns, Events and ongoing charity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Campaigns & Communications (66%):
* Create and distribute relevant content on our social media channels.
* Maintain the integrity and usage of the BUMBLEance Brand Guidelines.
* Support development of BUMBLEance Campaigns by providing written content and input/feedback where required.
* Support the promotion of Campaigns, Community Fundraisers & Events and support logistics when necessary
* Maintain a working knowledge of trends in the sector by attending events and networking
* Update & maintain CRM with accurate and timely information
* Attend local, regional and national fundraising activities and events as necessary
* Flexibility to work on occasional weekends/evenings as required
* To undertake such other duties as might be reasonably assigned from time to time
Grants (33%):
* Research, prospect and identify potential grant opportunities from Irish and international grant-giving bodies
* Liaise with the Corporate Partnerships Officer to complete relevant grant applications for corporate bodies
* Liaise with internal contacts to develop realistic, impactful proposals for funding
* Develop content for grant applications, including written content, imagery and videography
* When suitable, promote information about grants received and their impact via our external communication channels
* Adhere to all reporting requirements from ongoing grant partnerships
Key Skills and Competencies:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in fundraising/sales/business development/account management (experience within the charity sector preferred)
* Excellent copywriting ability
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrable experience in working to and achieving high targets
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* A passion for charity work
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Ability to self-sufficiently manage competing deadlines
* 23 days annual leave
* Flexible working with a finish at 3:30pm on Fridays
