Job Summary
This company are one of Ireland's largest housing associations with with over 10,000 homes nationwide and committed to providing high-quality, sustainable housing solutions for the community. They are a non-profit organisation primarily focused on providing secure, affordable housing solutions for people across Ireland.
They are currently seeking a driven and experienced Development Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of housing in Ireland. You will be responsible for the entire development life-cycle of projects, from site acquisition and planning to construction completion and handover.
You will drive new development opportunities to increase their housing supply and formulate a development programme and establish strong relationships with external stakeholders and ensure that new business opportunities are financially viable.
Qualifications:
1. Suitable candidates will have a relevant third level qualification in Real estate, Property Management or other related discipline.
2. Development/ Project Management experience necessary
3. Strong understanding of the residential housing landscape in Dublin and relevant government policies.
4. Excellent knowledge of planning and development regulations.
5. Experience in securing funding and managing project budgets.
6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
7. Strong problem-solving skills.
8. Proficiency in relevant project management software (e.g., MS Project).
9. A passion for social housing development and a commitment to creating positive social impact.

Responsibilities:
12. Source, identify, and appraise potential development sites in Dublin, ensuring they meet social housing needs and align with company objectives.
13. Lead the pre-planning process, liaising with architects, engineers, and local authorities to secure planning permission.
14. Manage project budgets and secure funding from public and private sources, including government grants and partnerships.
15. Oversee the design and construction phases of projects, ensuring compliance with social housing standards and sustainability best practices.
16. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, contractors, consultants, local authorities, and residents.
17. Ensure adherence to social value principles, promoting opportunities for local employment and training during construction.
18. Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and delays, implementing solutions to maintain time-lines and budgets.
19. Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress and performance for internal and external stakeholders.
20. Contribute to the development of the company's social housing strategy and identify future opportunities for growth.

Location:
