We have a new opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the SimoTech team on site with our client, a global leader in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure and providing support across various business areas including Automation, Labs, and IT.
The ideal candidate will come with previous experience working within a regulated environment, excellent interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals, and experience deploying technical solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the infrastructure services team to manage, support, and maintain on-site IT servers and workstations.Oversee daily operations within the Manufacturing Infrastructure team, addressing customer requests and incident management.Take responsibility for hardware and software lifecycle management activities, such as installation, upgrades, and decommissioning of GxP workstations and servers.Facilitate weekly standup meetings as needed.Serve as the primary site representative for global infrastructure teams, coordinating project delivery, resolving issues, managing outages, and addressing site-specific infrastructure needs.Provide an excellent level of support/outage management to minimise production-impacting Infrastructure issues.Deliver regular status reports and escalation of major issues to the appropriate business areas and management.Ensure ongoing team compliance with company Quality Standards and Practices when creating and maintaining all relevant infrastructure validation documentation.Oversee regular access roster reviews and periodic audits to ensure ongoing compliance with infrastructure access controls.Advocate for the use of system functionality and new technologies to improve work processes.Qualifications8+ years relevant experience with an in-depth knowledge of infrastructure components such as Windows and Linux server platforms, VMWare, and EMC storage solutions.Excellent knowledge with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Windows 7/10, and Linux platforms.Good knowledge of ISA S95 standard and Cybersecurity best practices.Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools, including antivirus software, vulnerability management, and patching solutions.High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong self-management skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and driving process improvements.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build collaborative relationships.Experience working in a life sciences manufacturing environment is highly desirable.What SimoTech Can OfferRole provides a high degree of autonomy to allow the successful candidate to reach their full potential.Develop new skills and enhance technical ability by working with innovative technologies in a multi-disciplined environment.Opportunity to work with large corporate clients on exciting capital projects.By submitting my data (CV), I consent to SimoTech collecting and storing my personal data, as outlined in the SimoTech Privacy Statement which I have read.
