European Sovereign Cloud Initiative
AWS is set to introduce the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), marking a significant development in utility computing. To spearhead this initiative, we are seeking experienced Technical Program Managers with a strong background in program management and working with Software Engineers.
About the Role
* Play a pivotal role in delivering high-availability AWS services, including EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock, exclusively for EU customers.
* Work closely with software development and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable products deployed around the world.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance business needs versus technical constraints.
* Encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
* Have a technical background, be detail-driven, and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
Requirements
* Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
* Six or more years of experience managing technical programs across cross-functional development teams.
* Experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
