Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Out of Hours plays a crucial role in the Senior Nurse Management Team, overseeing professional leadership and management for nursing staff, healthcare assistants, and nursing students across a 24/7 period.
This position primarily operates outside regular working hours.
The ADON participates in activities to meet the objectives of the Nursing Department, ensuring effective delivery of quality person-centred care and services. Additionally, they are responsible for developing staff, the nursing department, and the organisation, providing assurance to the DON on these matters.
The Out of Hours ADON supports the DON in ensuring the provision of effective delivery of quality care and services, as well as the development of staff, the nursing department, and the organisation.
Main Responsibilities:
* To participate in activities that meet the objectives of the Nursing Department.
* To ensure the provision of effective delivery of quality person-centred care and services.
* To develop staff, the nursing department, and the organisation.
* To provide assurance to the DON on matters related to the above responsibilities.
