We're recruiting an experienced Assistant Catering Manager who is passionate about exceptional food and world-class customer service, and who can confidently oversee all Compass Group UK&I catering and service operations for Compass Group Ireland on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.
As a Assistant Catering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible food experiences. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Support the catering manager in organising and leading the preparation and presentation of all food and hospitality services to the highest of standards and in line with the contract specification
2. Support in recruitment, leading, motivating and managing the team to deliver superior food and service
3. Develop solid and trusted client relationships
4. Drive sales through effective marketing and promotions
5. Assist and support the service within the budget and financial targets when required
6. Manage all aspects of health & safety and food safety
7. Manage food wastage and commitments to Net Zero commitments
Our ideal Assistant Catering Manager will:
1. Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
2. Have a minimum of one year of catering experience
3. Have experience managing teams in a similar role
4. Experience in a similar environment (not essential)
5. Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate
6. Demonstrate brilliant financial acumen
7. Have excellent communication and organisational skills
8. Be an ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill
