Job DescriptionThe Associate Director of Engineering for the Centre of Excellence (CoE) will lead a team dedicated to driving innovation, developing best practices, and advancing engineering capabilities within the organisation. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive engineering experience and a strong background in leadership, project management, and process improvement. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions that meet the needs of the business and its customers.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Strategy Development:Develop and implement the strategic vision for the Engineering CoE to drive engineering excellence across the organisation.Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of engineers and technical experts to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within the CoE.Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the engineering team.Innovation and Best Practices:Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies and engineering practices that will transform the organisation.Promote efficiency and innovation and establish and maintain best practices for engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align engineering initiatives with business goals.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to convey project status, challenges, and successes.Performance Metrics and Reporting:Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the Engineering CoE and report on progress to senior management.Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is desirable.Experience:At least 8-10 years of experience in engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.Proven experience in managing engineering projects and teams, preferably within a CoE environment.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and emerging technologies in the relevant field.Familiarity with project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., MPS, Continuous Improvement Methodology, OnePMO).Soft Skills:Demonstrate leadership and team management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.Current Employees apply HERECurrent Contingent Workers apply HEREEmployee Status: RegularJob Posting End Date: 04/17/2025*A job posting is effective until 11:59:59PM on the day BEFORE the listed job posting end date.
