Lead foundational technical initiatives across our growing cloud infrastructure.
Optimize Huawei Cloud's hybrid optical-electrical data center network solutions to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and efficient traffic management.
Collaborate on designing, building, and maintaining scalable network infrastructure across cloud environments
Evaluate and adopt new technologies to enhance the reliability and scalability of cloud network solutions, including traditional DCN networks, AI networks, and WAN networks.
Define and enforce operational standards and best practices for cloud networking infrastructure.
Holistically improve problem detection and outage recovery times for the networking infrastructure in response to incidents and anomalies.
Publish key findings in relevant conferences and journals or apply for patents as appropriate.
Requirements
8+ years of experience with a Masters or Ph.D in Computer science or related fields.
Hands on experience in design, deployment, and operation of cloud scale data center networks.
Deep understanding of Elastic Optical Networks (OXC/OCS) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) basics.
Experience in coding or scripting in at least two high level programming languages (e.g: C, C++, Python, Go, Rust)
Exceptional communication skills including the ability to negotiate around deeply technical topics with senior business leaders.
Optional: Hands on experience working with AWS, Azure or GCP services.
Optional: Experience in a specific networking domain such as traffic engineering (MPLS, congestion control, load balancing), routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, ISIS), network security (Firewalls, zero trust networking, DDOS protection), hardware acceleration (SmartNICs, FPGA), high performance data planes (DPDK, P4), or open source network operating systems (SoNIC, ONL).
