Senior General Operative Galway Enterprises, Co Galway Permanent Contract, 39 hours Job Purpose Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the purpose of the role is to take a lead position as an individual or as part of a team in the performance of wide ranging work duties in Warehouse and Product Assembly / Kit building tasks. To assist in a variety of production processes, ensuring high quality controls are maintained and safe work practices are followed. Minimum Education & Skills required Experience working in similar position desirable. Proficiency in operating forklift an advantage but not essential. Manual Handling, capability to learn and perform safe work practices. Proven experience or specialist knowledge in a similar role. Capable of taking a leading position in the planning and performance of work duties as an individual or as part of a team. Job Duties & Responsibilities As a senior operative, take on first-line supervisory responsibilities including planning, assigning and evaluating the work of other operatives in the safe and efficient performance of work duties. To be flexible, taking on additional duties that would not otherwise be part of the work expectations of a General Operative. Participate in staff training and development activities to improve present and future performance. To represent the Enterprises division and Rehab Recycle in the most professional manner at all times. Adhere to the Code of Good Employment Practice and the Rehab ethos Take the lead along with the supervisors/managers to identify and implement work practices that will improve both the efficiency and quality of the work produced. Additional requirements Work in our facility in the Parkmore West Business Park. Work can involve working on your feet AND/OR sat at workstations.
