My Client is a leading global FMCG organisation and due to unprecedented growth, are now looking for a National Account Manager to join the Business. This is a gem of an opportunity for a number of reasons:
1. The Brands - iconic, well regarded brands.
2. Their growth over the last 2 years - incredible! Double digit turnover in all categories!
3. The people in the business - Ben the Country Manager is a great guy! Some of the NAM’s have been with the business for over 10 years plus due to culture; being treated with respect and given autonomy to make the role their own - and there is great support from the UK team as well.
I had a really good meeting with Ben - (he is a gent - a really good guy - who puts his team first). Integrity and an ethical approach are important traits for him. He said, “Denis as you know we have a tight knit Irish operation with circa 20 people in the business - but we work collaboratively and genuinely we all get along. There is also a lot of interaction with our UK hub too. This is a newly created role as one of the team is stretched in his role and I am looking for someone to come in and take hold of the Convenience and Forecourt channel - and essentially treat it like their own mini business. We are doing well - gained market share but there is so much opportunity / white space in the channel that we are not exploiting, and I am looking for someone who is the voice for the channel, come with ideas, energy; can think strategically as we are thinking long-term - and for this person, along with input from myself, to create a 3 year plan for the channel.”
For this role, you must have 3-5 years FMCG experience at a NAM level. Full bonuses are regularly paid out – I cannot speak any more highly of Ben and the culture that he has created. (I placed a Shopper Marketing Manager in the Business over 2 years ago and he is really enjoying the role/the business and said, “I really enjoy working here Denis as Ben gives us a lot autonomy and we are all given a lot of freedom to put our own stamp on our respective roles.” NB - please only apply to this role if you live in Ireland and have the required experience.
