The Business Development Executive will drive sales growth in a number of sectors and target industries using expertise in creating and generating leads from an existing prospect database as well as developing a robust new prospect pipeline to ensure sales targets are met.
The Role
1. Actively identify potential leads to grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline and attract new clients.
2. Consistently and accurately maintain CRM database ensuring content is kept up to date.
3. Meet deadlines and sales targets.
4. Maintain excellent relationships with insurers and stay up to date on industry developments.
5. Conduct meetings with prospective clients when required.
6. Supporting and liaising with the Business Development Director and Sales and Marketing Team including attendance at regular team meetings
7. Understand target markets (including industry) and which strategies can be used to attract new clients.
8. Meticulous attention to detail ensuring internal company and regulatory standards are adhered to at all times.
9. Support marketing campaigns by telephone follow-up.
10. Dealing with clients in a professional manner. Dealing with queries in a timely fashion and ensuring any outstanding matters are addressed prior to handover to the business.
Checking and issuing policy documentation.
11. Collaborating with the team to ensure the smooth implementation of campaigns and their rollout and follow up.
12. Assisting in the development of internal cross selling campaigns by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
13. Mapping new business opportunities using industry research and lead generation tools, taking a proactive approach to bringing new market intelligence to the team and delivering on targets
14. Completion of complex market submissions and insurer follow up.
15. Supporting client facing staff in maintaining CRM requirements
16. Self-generate prospect meetings and liaise with Willis Contact Management team to create further sales appointments.
17. Work with team colleagues to develop winning proposals for prospects.
18. Maintain a detailed knowledge of products and services offered by Willis Towers Watson
19. Networking – internally with other business units, within the sector, and with external specialists (lawyers, TPAs, insurers).
