Site Foreman Plumbing & Heating (Residential Sector)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Plumber to take on the role of Site Foreman within our growing plumbing and heating company.
Specializing in residential new-build projects, the ideal candidate will have a strong plumbing background and the ability to oversee site operations, coordinate trades, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management & Coordination: Oversee and manage all direct employees and subcontractor personnel on-site, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality standards.
Material Procurement & Planning:
Ensure all necessary materials are ordered in advance and available when required to prevent delays.
Project Scheduling:
Develop and maintain a structured project program, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Team Leadership:
Motivate and manage a team of tradespeople, fostering productivity, accountability, and professionalism across all site activities.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of project progress, site activities, and any issues, providing regular updates through daily and weekly reports.
Quality Control & Finishing:
Carry out all third-fix plumbing and heating duties, ensuring installations meet required specifications.
Complete snagging and final checks before project handover.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Plumber:
A relevant plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) is essential.
Industry Experience:
Previous experience in plumbing and heating within the residential new-build sector is highly desirable.
Communication Skills:
Ability to liaise confidently with design teams, clients, suppliers, and site personnel, ensuring clear and effective communication at all stages.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of plumbing and heating systems, building regulations, and installation best practices.
IT & Administration Skills:
Basic computer literacy is essential, as you will be required to communicate via email and maintain digital records.
Leadership & Problem-Solving:
A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to motivate teams, resolve on-site issues efficiently, and adapt to changing project demands.
Attention to Detail:
A keen eye for quality control, ensuring all work meets specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
Time Management:
Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines without compromising quality.
Tools & Transport:
The ideal candidate must have their own tools and reliable transport to travel between sites as required.
