The majority of the companys premises and staff are located overseas with the Irish distribution branch requiring only one staff member reporting into the head office in the UK. A long-time staff member who managed this warehouse has now retired and the company is seeking aForklift Driver / Warehouse Operativeto fill this role. The successful candidate willwork aloneand manage the warehousing and distribution of gas canisters in a range of sizes in a small premises in Tallaght, Dublin 24 with 2 to 3 artic truck deliveries per week. AsForklift Driver and Warehouse Operativethe successful candidate will perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in material receipt, warehousing, preparation and shipping actions. Key Responsibilities: Forklift Operations:Operating aCounterbalance Forkliftto manage gas canisters of various sizes. Warehouse Management:Handling all material receipt, storage, and shipping activities, including manual handling of goods. Administrative Tasks:Recording material transactions, cycle counts, and data entry using Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office. Safety and Compliance:Conducting routine fire safety checks, managing hazardous materials, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Communication:Liaising with the Sales Coordinator and management regarding inventory and order updates. Requirements: Forklift Licence:A validCounterbalance Forkliftlicense is mandatory. Experience:A minimum of5 yearsin a similar role is required. Independent Role:The ability to work independently and take ownership of warehouse operations. Tech Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software. Attention to Detail:Precision in managing inventory and safety standards. Hazardous Waste Handling:Experience with hazardous materials is a plus but not required. Waste Management License:Willingness to undergo training to obtain a Waste Management License.
