The Role
We are seeking to recruit a Resident Medical Officer to join the medical team at the Hermitage Clinic. The role holder will be expected to:
* Ensure the highest standards of patient care for all patients attending/admitted to the Hermitage Clinic.
* Work in co-operation with the Consultants and the Nursing team in all matters relating to patient care.
* Clinical assessment of patients requiring admission/readmission and/or as warranted by an unexpected change in their clinical condition.
* Ensure that comprehensive handover, with full patient rounds, has taken place at the beginning and end of each shift (morning and night).
* Provide a non-routine phlebotomy service and cannulation of patients as required.
* Carry the cardiac arrest phone and respond to all hospital emergencies, administering emergency care in the absence of Anaesthetics or Consultants, and continue management until such time as the Consultant is available.
* To closely liaise with all Hospital Consultants.
The Person
Essential requirements for the ideal candidate:
* MB BCh BAO or equivalent recognised by the Irish Medical Council
* Full registration with the Irish Medical Council
* Minimum three years post qualification experience.
