Software Automation Test Engineer – Entry Level

As Kneat continues to expand, we are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Software Automation Test Engineer to join our Software Testing Dept. This is an excellent opportunity for someone recently graduated with at least 6 months industry experience to enter the exciting world of automation testing within a growing company. Position Summary
Reporting to our Automation Test Manager the Software Automation Test Engineer - Entry Level will be focused on the creation and implementation of automation test solutions. Using existing and new technologies the role will focus on continuous automation improvement and drive high quality delivery.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in testing, automation, and solution delivery. The candidate will be a strong team player, ability to problem solve, enjoy working in a dynamic environment, and have a drive to implement change,

Primary Responsibilities
Participate in sprint planning sessions reviewing use cases and providing automation solutions and estimates
Analyse product requirements and creation of manual/automation test coverage
Execution, troubleshooting and maintenance of existing automation test suites
Reporting product issues, bug analysis and complete investigation to resolution
Contribute ideas/solutions for continuous improvement of the automation framework
Test Environment configuration for automation execution – including data management
Work as part of scrum team and contribute ideas and improvements.
Analyse, communicate and report test findings
Work closely with the scrum teams and product owners to provide excellent testing coverage
Work as part of the automation team to ensure consistent standards and audit standards are maintained
Minimum qualifications
Computer Science Degree or equivalent IT qualification
6-12 months experience working in IT – coding/ testing experience will be a distinct advantage, especially using C# and/or Java
Experience using test automation tools such as Selenium, SpecFlow, Azure Pipelines a plus
Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment would be helpful
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail and strong aptitude for learning new technologies
Applicants must have permanent residency in Ireland – Stamp 4 a minimum
Role will be hybrid requiring at least one day a week in our Limerick office
