Le Meas Executive Search are delighted to partner with a Life Insurance Company to hire a Senior Operations Manager for their Dublin operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with our outsource partners in a way that positively enforces both strategic and day-to-day management of our business.
* Align on key outcomes and standards and ensure performance is managed to the contracted levels for both outsource and distribution partners. (This will require regular onsite visits to operations service locations).
* Uses data to forecast and anticipate requirements and to prepare in advance for service delivery and to provide detailed performance metrics against plans and service levels.
* Interacts and influences our outsource providers at senior management level to ensure outsourcer strategies, plans and culture are aligned with our company ambitions.
* Is the escalation point for all service issues within New and Existing Business.
* Develops and maintains excellent relationships with the distribution channel and other stakeholders.
* Owns the delivery of the offshore transition plan, achieving key milestones and KPIs, and ensuring that the resulting hybrid model meets all service standards and no degradation in service.
* Is responsible for the delivery of forecast models and high-quality training plans to ensure there are sufficient resources with the necessary experience and expertise to deliver superior customer service and achieve desired business outcomes.
* Owns and leads on proactive pipeline management, and, supported by our distribution channel and outsource partners, develops innovative processes that ensure all policies are followed up and correctly closed out at the earliest opportunity.
* Oversees the development and maintains operational dashboards that report on lead and lag measures which facilitate the proactive and transparent management of our business.
* Anticipates future needs of the business and/or customers to identify high-impact change solutions.
* Provide leadership and talent management, creates a vision the team can understand, gives clear direction, advice and guidance to teams as appropriate.
* Manages staff determining the outcome of a claim arising under a contract of insurance or reinsurance.
* Consider the interests of the customer in all operational activities and embed a culture of striving for superior customer satisfaction in the team.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Hold a relevant degree, Business Masters or relevant experience in a relevant discipline.
* Minimum 3+ years relevant customer-facing experience within Financial Service / Insurance, with significant experience managing teams and delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Demonstrable experience of identifying and driving initiatives which deliver value add improvements to their function or business.
* Significant experience in managing and building relationships with outsource providers and distribution channels.
* Strong experience in a Life and Pensions Operations team with an understanding of forecasting, process management, project management and technology.
* Detailed pensions knowledge would be a significant advantage.
* Excellent knowledge of the regulatory environment (including but not limited to CPC and CPRA).
* Experience in delivering strategic projects.
*Our client offers a very flexible work model; you will be required to be in the office 1-2 days per month.*
