Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Engage and communicate with team members to promote a collaborative environment.
* Train, lead, motivate, and coach team members to optimize performance.
* Conduct briefings at the start of each shift to engage team members, discuss upselling opportunities, and set targets.
* Maintain open communication with team members and managers to ensure operational needs are met.
* Assess and record training progress, as well as conduct one-to-one meetings with team members as required.
* Attend operational meetings to facilitate coordination and cooperation between departments.
* Delegate tasks and upskill team members to prevent skill gaps.
* Nurture future leaders and create a leadership pipeline for high-performing team members.
Business Management:
* Optimize labor expenses through effective scheduling and inventory control.
* Pursue creative revenue generation strategies to maximize profit.
* Ensure business levels are met with adequate staffing and plan for future requirements.
* Manage stock levels to maintain efficient service.
* Closely monitor cash/credit payments and maintain tight control and security.
* Foster strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues in other departments.
* Assist with roster preparation and changes as needed to align with business demands.
* Respond promptly and effectively to guest complaints, taking necessary action to prevent recurrence.
To develop and maintain departmental standards, with special regard to the Hotel's high standards.
