Environmental Manager Role for Food Manufacturing Industry
We are recruiting an Environmental Manager for our client in County Cavan, a leading name in the meat industry. The company prioritizes quality, sustainability, and innovation with state-of-the-art facilities and rigorous quality control.
The successful candidate will develop and implement a comprehensive environmental strategy, oversee sustainability initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across the site.
This is a permanent role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Implement and manage environmental policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
* Monitor emissions and wastewater treatment operations, ensuring daily compliance.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies, generating required reports.
* Lead sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, recycling, and energy management.
* Oversee pollution control, sludge treatment, and renewable energy projects.
* Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System, supporting new technologies.
* Attend audits, site inspections, and ensure adherence to environmental standards and company values.
Requirements:
* Qualification in Environment and Sustainability Management.
* In-depth understanding of environmental legislation and compliance standards.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Proven leadership, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
