eCommerce Solutions Project Manager – Madcraft

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced eCommerce Solutions Project Manager to lead some of our largest eCommerce implementations. This is a client-facing role, requiring a strong technical understanding of eCommerce platforms, particularly BigCommerce and headless implementations.
You will be responsible for end-to-end project management, working closely with a highly skilled development team to deliver cutting-edge eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience managing B2B eCommerce projects, a solid understanding of API-driven commerce, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable project plans.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead eCommerce implementation projects from planning to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
2. Serve as the primary client contact, providing updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns promptly.
3. Oversee technical eCommerce development, ensuring alignment with client goals and platform capabilities.
4. Work with BigCommerce B2B Edition, Catalyst, and headless architectures, ensuring seamless integrations.
5. Collaborate with designers, developers, and strategists to execute large-scale eCommerce builds.
6. Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies, ensuring projects stay on track.
7. Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, ensuring development teams have everything they need.
8. Monitor and optimise workflows using project management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, etc.).
9. Implement best practices for enterprise eCommerce, including multi-location logistics, pricing structures, customer segmentation, and quoting workflows.
10. Stay up to date with industry trends, ensuring Madcraft remains at the forefront of B2B eCommerce solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
1. 4–5 years of experience in eCommerce project management, ideally within a B2B environment.
2. Strong experience with headless eCommerce implementations and platforms like BigCommerce Catalyst.
3. Experience leading cross-functional teams across design, development, and strategy.
4. Proven track record of managing complex eCommerce projects from concept to launch.
5. Technical knowledge of APIs, integrations, and middleware solutions for enterprise eCommerce.
6. Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to manage expectations and build long-term relationships.
7. Ability to identify and resolve project risks proactively.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.
9. Experience with multi-region, multi-language, and multi-currency eCommerce setups.
10. Familiarity with BigCommerce, Shopify, WooCommerce, and other enterprise CMS platforms is a plus.
11. Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies and experience using project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana.
