About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide essential support for young people aged 15–18 in a short-term residential setting.
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will help them overcome challenges, break the cycle of homelessness, and prepare for independent living.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a key worker for individual young people, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
* Support young people who have experienced trauma and challenging behaviours, using evidence-based practices to ensure their well-being.
* Develop and maintain individual placement plans in line with statutory care plans, ensuring seamless collaboration with external agencies.
* Collaborate with housing, education, and social support services to provide comprehensive support to our young people.
* Maintain accurate records in compliance with health and safety standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
* Participate in a 7-day, 24-hour roster, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to our young people's needs.
Requirements:
* Degree in Social Care or related field, such as Psychology or Counselling.
* Experience in residential care or working with children with complex needs, including those with histories of trauma and challenging behaviours.
* Knowledge of HIQA standards, Child Protection policies, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention principles.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Full, clean driver's license, with access to a reliable vehicle for travel purposes.
