About the Role
Reporting to the Electrical Project Director, you will work on and contribute to our key projects. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Apprentice, you will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced Electricians and Instrumentation technicians to learn and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in the electrical and instrumentation trade.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
2. Gain hands-on experience while adhering to safe systems of work and industry regulatory standards.
3. Perform electrical installations under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
4. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standard.
5. Commissioning & testing support and learning.
6. Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
7. Installing equipment.
8. Field wiring & panel terminations.
9. Maintain safety standards and adhere to site rules at all times.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of five passes at leaving certificate level (must include Mathematics and English).
2. Successfully pass the Ishihara Colour Vision Test.
3. Valid Safe Pass/Manual Handling certificate.
4. No experience necessary but have a keen interest in engineering and electrical systems.
5. Willingness to commute around the Midlands region.
