La Rousse Foods is a leading supplier of fine foods to premium establishments in Ireland since 1992.

Our in-house facilities include a butchery, cheese-maturing room, and chocolate lab, enabling us to offer bespoke solutions to cater to our customers' evolving needs.
The Role
We are seeking a Supervisor for our Cheese Room located in Park West.
You will work closely with the Cheese Production Manager and be responsible for managing orders within the evening shift.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive cheese orders and inspect for quality issues in packaging and cheeses
* Enter orders into the stock intake system
* Verify that stock is stored in date order (last in, first out)
* Cutting cheese to order and recording stock movements on the Emydex system
* Ensure all stock is scanned at every stage of movement
* Prepare outgoing shipments to tight deadlines
* Prepare sample boxes for the Sales Team
* Selecting cheese that is perfectly ripe and in optimal condition for customers
* Cutting cheese from full wheels while maintaining rind shape and neatness
* Sharing knowledge about cheese styles, quality control, storage, and wrapping with the warehouse cheese team
* Wrapping cut cheese in cheese paper to best-in-class presentation standards
* Packing orders, logging them manually and on the computer, and ensuring stock replenishment
* Maintaining proper storage of cheese and checking the cheese room throughout the day to ensure optimal conditions
* Reporting quality issues or queries to the Cheese Category Manager and QC department
* Dealing with trimming, rind overgrowth, catching quality issues early, and addressing them
* Cleaning the cheese storage room and cut cheese production room according to QC training courses
You will collaborate with the Speciality Cheese Category Manager, Food Safety & Quality Manager, Cheese Buyer, and Cheese Cutting staff. Attendance at cheese training and customer events, both on-site and off-site, is also required.

* Likes eating cheese and will taste all cheeses in our range
* Exceptional hygiene and cleanliness
* Interest in becoming an expert in farmhouse, live-mould cheese
* Strong customer service skills, strong communication skills, and strong teamwork and collaboration skills
* Ability to work in cold temperatures and attention to detail and accuracy
