Key Responsibilities:
* Document Management: Organize and maintain legal documents, correspondence, and case files efficiently and confidentially.
* Calendar and Schedule Management: Coordinate and manage attorneys' schedules, appointments, and court dates to ensure seamless workflow and timely responses.
* Client Interaction: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, handling inquiries, scheduling meetings, and maintaining positive professional relationships.
* Drafting and Proofreading: Assist in preparing legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and pleadings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal guidelines.
* Court Filings: Facilitate timely and accurate filing of legal documents with courts and government agencies, adhering to specified procedures.
* Research Support: Conduct legal research as needed, summarising findings and providing relevant information to support attorneys in case preparation.
* Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance, including answering phones, managing office supplies, and supporting the legal team in day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience as a Legal Secretary, particularly in litigation, showcasing a deep understanding of legal processes and documentation.
* High proficiency in typing with speed and accuracy, ensuring efficient preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
