My client, a leading distributor of hardware and building materials is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their busy offices based in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing Manager or Senior Buyer who has experience with procurement in the Hardware or Construction Industries to join a leading organisation and grow on their career.

The duties for the Purchasing Manager include but are not limited to:
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
The requirements for the desired Purchasing Manager include:
- Third level qualification in relevant area
- Experience in a similar role in the last 3 years.
- Experience in hardware or construction industry
- Working understanding of import duty
- Full clean driving license and be willing to travel to other divisional company premises
- People Management experience
- Excellent leadership qualities
- High degree of emotional intelligence
