Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and ambitious Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and gain career progression in a rapidly growing industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Support and Cost Control: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring project costs to ensure alignment with financial goals.
* Procurement and Contract Support: Collaborate with senior surveyors on procurement processes, support bid evaluations, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Valuations and Payments: Prepare and submit interim valuations, assist with payment applications, and support variation management.
* Risk Identification: Assist in identifying project risks and work with senior team members to develop mitigation strategies.
* Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders, providing necessary cost reports and updates under the guidance of senior surveyors.
* Team Collaboration and Learning: Work alongside our senior surveyor, learning through active participation and contributing to a collaborative project team.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
* 2-4 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
* Familiarity with procurement processes, contract administration, and Irish construction regulations.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
