Purpose of Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical QA/QC Manager to join our team. The QA/QC Manager will play a pivotal role in project delivery. The individual will be responsible for performing regular inspections, developing QA/QC plans, and identifying areas of improvement in the mechanical engineering processes. You will report into the Head of Compliance; this position is based in our Dublin Office with occasional site visits.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for preparation and oversight of all mechanical inspection plans related to installation, testing, commission for all projects.
2. Prepare mechanical safe systems of works (MSSOW) to suit project specific requirements and oversee its implementation onsite.
3. Conduct regular audits and inspections of projects for QA/QC compliance, materials and equipment ensuring they meet with QA/QC standards and project specifications.
4. Prepare daily and weekly QA/QC reports regarding inspection, material, and non-conformances across all projects.
5. Train and mentor full time site-based personnel ensuring that they fully understand their individual responsibilities under the QA/QC plan.
6. Maintain detailed records of all inspections, tests, and observations, ensuring traceability and compliance with the quality management system, and identify opportunities for improvement in processes and follow up on corrective action.
7. Communicate clearly with project manager, site engineers, clients, and stakeholders in relation to all QA/QC related matters.
Role Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC, preferably in construction, engineering capacity.
3. Proficient in MS Office and QA/QC software tools.
4. Excellent organisational and planning skills.
5. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality control.
6. Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
