**Experienced Technical Manager Role for Fresh Produce Company in North County Dublin**
We are seeking an experienced technical manager to lead our multi-national company's fresh produce operations based in Swords Business Park, Co. Dublin.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in dealing with retailers and experience in compliance requirements, as well as a good understanding of industry standards (BRC, Bord Bia, etc.). Preferably, the candidate has worked in the fresh food industry, ideally in fresh produce.
**Key Objectives:**
* Manage all aspects of the technical function according to customer, legal, and business requirements.
* Develop clear communication and maintain good relationships with customers and the site team.
* Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and ongoing development of HACCP, TACCP/VACCP systems.
* Manage the Supplier Approval process, including customers' own systems for supplier management.
* Maintain customers' online portals (Food Experts, Zoom, etc.).
* Support compliance during customer and 3rd party audits.
* Support business in developing and implementing its Food Safety Culture plan.
* Work with the Quality Team to ensure inspections meet business and customers' expectations.
* Development and maintenance of raw material and finished product specifications as required by customers and the business.
* Artwork checks and approval for legal and specification compliance.
* Investigation and root cause analysis of customer and consumer complaints.
* Completion of internal audits, including systems, hygiene & fabrication, establishing root cause and corrective action implementation.
* Travel to international supply base for seasonal development, quality improvement, or customer inspections.
**Requirements:**
* Minimum 5 years experience in a fresh food industry technical or senior quality manager role.
* Experience in fresh produce would be an advantage.
* Educated to degree/diploma level in a food science discipline.
* Excellent attention to detail & communication skills.
* Good computer skills with an understanding of Excel, Word, etc.
* Able to work on own initiative.
* Able to travel abroad.
* Permissions to work in Ireland.
**Salary:** €60,000 - €80,000 per year.
