We are seeking a highly skilled Ruminant Business Manager to join our team at Tirln, a world-class food and nutrition co-operative. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing sales with a list of key customers.
Role Profile
The Ruminant Business Manager acts as the primary link between Tirln and our farmers, accountable for day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of farmers. Key responsibilities include:
* Engaging with farmers to understand their past, present, and future feed, fertiliser, Veterinary, Dairy Hygiene or other farm input needs.
* Responding to requests for technical advice and seeking specialist input from Technical Development as required.
* Proactively identifying opportunities to improve farm profitability, sustainability, or milk quality.
* Communicating results of forage and soil analysis (including nutrient management plans) to farmers.
* Maintaining up-to-date and accurate farm data on CRM including milk supply ambitions, sales, opportunities, complaints etc.
* Processing orders for feed, fertiliser, Veterinary/other products, ensuring delivery to farmer per agreed SLA.
* Providing input to Technical Development and Marketing on product/service portfolio development.
* Executing field marketing/promotional campaigns by communicating new offers, directed by Marketing.
* Managing monthly cash collection process.
* Driving farmer adoption of Tirln schemes by communicating scheme details and resolving queries.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
* A strong knowledge of the technical elements across all categories of Animal Health.
* A working knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft and SAP, with the ability to learn other systems.
* Strong sales and customer service background.
* Extensive experience in the agricultural industry with strong local market knowledge.
* A proven ability to execute against commercial plans and targets.
