Job Title: Process Engineer - Sterilisation

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team in Kilkenny. As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.
Responsibilities:
1. Problem Solving: Provide solutions through structured Problem-solving techniques.
2. Technical Leadership: Providing technical leadership on product and process related issues.
3. Process Development: Develop in-depth knowledge of the process and become a subject matter expert in process & product.
4. Cross-Functional Teamwork: Liaise with equipment suppliers and perform and manage equipment installations (SAT/FAT).
5. Performance Monitoring: Monitor machine performance (OEE/KPI's) in real time to maximise production output.
6. Experimentation and Analysis: Contribute to analytical development through design and execution of experiments, data analysis and communication of conclusions through presentations and reports.
7. Documentation and Validation: Coordinate and contribute to the design of Ops, protocols, specifications, and validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
8. Process Optimization: Perform process optimization trials, and development/validation design and analytical methods development.
9. Commodity Changes: Work on commodity changes and collaborate with Divisional and external vendors on process changes.
10. Innovation: Seek opportunities for significant process or product improvements, considering critical quality attributes, critical process parameters, and product performance characteristics.
11. Project Management: Develop and maintain project timelines and provide updates and feedback to leadership.
12. Data Management: Data management, trending (including SPC) and reporting of product performance and other business measures.
13. Investigation: Complete investigation with support from SMEs on equipment and processes.
14. Leadership Development: Be a leader with a focus on future leadership development/role.
Requirements:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence.
2. Ability to interpret data, discuss findings and resolve complex analytical problems.
3. Recognize adverse trends and emerging issues. Propose and implement solutions to internal and external issues.
4. Strong problem-solving skills.
5. Strong mechanical and electrical ability with computer experience, MS Excel and Word are essential.
6. Computer statistical skills will provide immediate expertise for the trending and reporting of data.
7. Must possess good organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Demonstrated leadership qualities are a distinct advantage.
9. Demonstrated flexible and innovative approach to work.
10. Electron beam, Gamma or other sterilisation technologies experience desirable.
11. Travel 15%.
