Role Overview:
Our client is a long-established social impact organisation dedicated to inspiring and empowering positive change across diverse sectors such as science, technology, culture, enterprise, agriculture, and equestrianism. They are seeking an ambitious and motivated Sales Account Manager to join their team, with a focus on driving opportunities and delivering programming that aligns with their growth strategy.
The role involves managing client relationships and ensuring a best-in-class service while supporting the achievement of key organisational goals. Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours is required, and applicants should ideally be based in the greater Dublin area and possess a clean driving license.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Business Acquisition & Sales Management:
* Pursue new business opportunities to achieve annual targets and KPIs.
* Oversee sales pipelines, track performance, and ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends in events, sports, and entertainment.
* Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals and handling post-event follow-ups.
* Develop and implement strategies to generate new revenue streams.
* Leverage technology to optimise sales processes and manage event schedules.
* Utilise internal systems for real-time event bookings and availability.
* Contribute to handover meetings for clear communication across teams.
1. Client Engagement & Relationship Building:
* Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout their event journey.
* Work closely with partners (food, beverage, AV, ticketing) to create a seamless client experience.
* Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
* Participate in additional projects or initiatives as directed by senior leadership.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to deliver impactful presentations.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to perform well under pressure.
* Competent with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant technology tools.
Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales Account Management.
* Experience in the MICE sector is advantageous.
* Background in entertainment, large-scale events, or sports industries is beneficial.
* Established professional network within the corporate and event management sectors.
* Operational experience in event management is a plus.
* Familiarity with preparing and submitting tenders is a bonus.
Qualifications:
* A relevant third-level qualification in Business, Events, or Hospitality is preferred.
