Job Title: Newly Qualified Accountant
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Newly Qualified Accountant to join our growing team in Kilkenny. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or newly qualified professional to advance their career in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, including income tax, corporation tax, and VAT.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored financial advice.
* Participate in audit processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and assisting in the preparation of audit reports.
* Prepare management accounts and financial reports to support clients in their decision-making processes.
* Provide clients with business advisory services, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategic planning.
* Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and tax regulations, ensuring compliance and advising clients on best practices.
* Work closely with senior accountants and other team members, contributing to the overall success of the firm.
* Utilize accounting software and tools (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) for efficient financial management and reporting.
Requirements:
* Education: ACA, ACCA, CPA qualified, or equivalent.
* Experience: 3 years plus of relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
* Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Software: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
* Problem-Solving: A proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving, with attention to detail.
* Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
Salary:
€50,000 - €60,000 per annum.
