Key Responsibilities
Sales
1. Coordinate and attend review meetings at contracted customer’s sites.
2. Identify and progress resale opportunities for customers that have had NCH / Chem-Aqua products / services.
3. Identify and progress sales opportunities for new customers either from one-off sales or new contracts.
4. Account management – maintain relationship with customer post-sale to ensure customer satisfaction and obtain referrals.
5. Taking ownership of the customer and their issues to increase relationship contact points.
6. Complete and manage all customer orders utilizing relevant company technology and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and trading standards.
7. Present NCH Europe as a credible and professional supplier of products / services.
8. Maintain knowledge of products and services as well as industry developments.
Service
1. As part of a team of Technicians, carry out bacteria sampling, temperature monitoring, and other environmental hygiene monitoring tasks.
2. Carry out closed loop analysis, water tank, and cooling tower cleaning and disinfection.
3. Be responsible for installation and service relating to bioamp and pre-treatment equipment (softener, RO, chlorine dioxide, UV, etc.).
4. Removal of waste in accordance with health and safety legislation.
5. Keep control of any equipment needed to carry out the role and make replenishment orders as necessary.
6. Keep Company vehicle and other tools/assets clean and in working order.
7. Organize services and daily routing effectively according to instructions from the Technical Services Manager.
8. Ensure all services and interventions in the field are pre-approved by the Technical Services Manager.
9. Provide local remote phone technical support and helpdesk service for Sales Representatives and customers.
10. Participate in training and study technical documentation to stay updated with the latest technical information.
11. Accurately complete any paperwork according to local work instructions and codes of practice.
12. Report any major incidents, quality issues, customer feedback, and other relevant information from the field.
13. Promote and maintain good relations with customers, ensuring confidentiality and promoting the good image of the Company.
14. Promote and identify sales opportunities.
15. Effectively liaise with other Company departments to ensure the best level of service is supplied to the customer.
16. Carry out any other duties in line with the scope of the post.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. A strong background in chemistry / chemical engineering or similar.
2. A sales and technical background, demonstrable at interview stage.
3. Experience in water treatment and/or in wastewater treatment advantageous but not essential.
4. Excellent organizational skills.
5. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
6. Good administration and record-keeping skills.
7. A flexible approach and be a team player.
8. Persistence, resilience, and willingness to learn.
9. A passion for a long-term rewarding career in water treatment.
10. Computer literacy.
11. A full driving license.
