Job Title: Facilitator (Social Care Worker Grade)

Job Description:
This role involves working in The Count Me In, Day Service supporting young autistic people in self-development, within the following areas: social inclusion, social capacity, education, employment and other aspects of their lives.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
* Ensuring a person-centred approach to meet the needs of each participant individually
* Developing an Individual Plan for each participant
* Empowering each participant to achieve their identified goals in an integrated and inclusive setting
* Promoting inclusion, equality and community participation
* Developing relationships with participants, families, advocates and the wider community
* Providing individual mentoring to participants
* Experience and knowledge of autism informed approaches is desirable
Candidate Requirements:
* Flexibility to support people to achieve their goals during evenings if required
* Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of New Directions and Person-Centred Planning
* A balanced approach to risk
* An ability to develop meaningful community links
* To be a good communicator with good observational and organisational skills
* Drive, enthusiasm, and passion for delivering person centred solutions
* Competent IT skills
Other Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
* Contribute to and participate in the local service planning process and the creative development and ongoing changing needs of the service.
* Ensure a safe place of work, incorporating Western Care Association's Dignity at Work Policy and Health & Safety requirement.
* To promote safety in all environments, in line with the Association's practices.
* Use positive approaches to support people in line with Organisational practice.
Qualification Details:
An appropriate 3rd level qualification in Social Care, or equivalent (minimum level 7)
Other Requirements:
* Full driver's license is essential
* All applicants will be subject to Irish Garda Vetting & Reference checks
* All applicants from Countries outside the E.U. will be required to provide relevant work authorization to take up employment in Republic of Ireland
* All applicants will be required to access Overseas Police Clearance if they have lived outside of the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland more than 6 months since the age of 18 years

Salary Scale:
Social Care Worker Pay Scale (Scale Range €33,863 - €50,954 per annum)
