My client, Hygeia, is seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic HR Manager to join their growing team. Hygeia Garden Care is 85 years in business with an established market position in Ireland and is currently embarking on an ambitious growth strategy. Their own manufacturing of market leading home & garden care products under the brands Mosgo, Hytrol, Greenforce & Gouldings is complemented with agencies from companies such as Sutton’s Seeds, Thompon & Morgan Seeds, Johnsons Lawn Seed and others. Hygeia Garden Care is experiencing very strong growth and is now recruiting to fill a new position of HR Manager to work 20 hours a week.
The role is based in their office in Oranmore, 20 hours a week.
Responsibilities
1. General HR administration
2. Create, update and maintain employee personnel files in line with applicable legal requirements, i.e. GDPR & HIQA.
3. Administer & support employee health and safety, welfare & wellness.
4. Develop, update & maintain policies & procedures.
5. Participate in developing & achieving department goals & objectives.
6. Participate in the development & implementation of succession planning.
7. Identify opportunities and recommend changes to increase performance, reduce cost, and positively impact metrics through analytical approaches.
8. Development of an employee orientated company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Job Objectives
1. Employee Relations: conduct investigations, disciplinary hearings, & grievance hearings, in line with Company policy. Ensure compliance to Employment Law.
2. Compensation & Benefits: Administration of Company pension and complete benefits suite.
3. Absence Management: Liaise with Risk & Liability Manager to support Work Related Injuries.
4. Performance Management: support Line Managers with performance concerns.
5. Training & Development: work in collaboration with the Recruitment team and Training & Development team.
6. Retention & Employee Engagement: support Line Managers with the Retention Strategy.
7. HRIS Administration: Report writing & development, systems administration & systems configuration of in-house HRIS system (Softworks).
Qualifications
HR Qualification preferable. CIPD Qualified preferable.
Knowledge
Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
Experience
Prior HR generalist experience is essential. Experience in social care or a health-related discipline desirable but not essential.
Skills
Excellent communication skills. Proficient in written communication skills such as report writing. Highly organised with a strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels. Excellent IT and administration skills. Self-starter / Self-motivated. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment with a high level of attention to detail.
