Our client’s prestigious property in Co Mayo is looking for a highly creative and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to lead their pastry team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled pastry chef to take charge of all pastry operations, creating innovative desserts and baked goods that enhance the luxurious dining experience. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure consistency in quality and presentation while developing new menu ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the pastry kitchen, ensuring high standards of preparation and presentation.
* Design and create a wide range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods for the property’s dining outlets and events.
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal and special menus, ensuring innovation and creativity in the pastry offerings.
* Oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen, including staff management, ordering, and inventory control.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
* Train, mentor, and inspire the pastry team to continuously elevate their skills and creativity.
* Maintain the highest level of quality and consistency across all pastry offerings.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
* Exceptional creativity and a passion for pastry arts.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles.
