Due to our increasing expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction / Project Manager to oversee and manage the successful completion of projects from inception to final delivery. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple aspects of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. Management of all day-to-day on-site operations.
This role is based in the overall Munster region and is not specific to Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Develop project plans and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
2. Team Management: Lead and supervise project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
3. Manage upfront procurement based on approved submittals to project specifications.
4. Resource Allocation: Ensure the necessary resources (labour, materials, equipment) are available for the project.
5. Cost Control: Monitor project costs, ensuring it stays within the allocated budget.
6. Quality and Safety Compliance: Enforce safety and quality standards and ensure that construction work meets quality and regulatory requirements.
7. Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, address delays or issues, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
8. Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between clients, contractors, and team members.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Experience: At least 5 years of experience in construction project management in pharmaceutical industry. Experience managing large-scale or complex piping projects within Ireland or Europe.
Skills:
* Strong knowledge of piping/equipment construction processes, project management principles, and building codes.
* Proficiency with project management software (e.g. EIDA, NAVIS works, Procore, Builder trend, MS Project, etc.).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to manage people
* Proficient in project turnover documentation, quality control, and commissioning procedures.
* Expertise in various piping standards (ASME, ANSI, ASTM, etc.) and codes.
* Ability to perform Safety audits and quality checks and coordinate necessary corrective actions.
