Perform Recruitment is currently seeking candidates for the position of Environmental Health and Safety Officer on behalf of our client. Key Responsibilities: Develop and enforce environmental health and safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and programs.Perform EHS audits and inspections to ensure compliance.Deliver EHS training sessions to employees.Foster and instill a strong health and safety culture among all employees.Oversee daily EHS operations and tasks.Regularly review and revise company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, Health & Safety Policies, and the Safety Statement.Stay informed about legislative updates and implement necessary changes.Implement and update EHS control measures as needed.Conduct routine inspections and audits of the facility to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and implement preventive and corrective actions.Provide guidance and training on safety procedures to all staff.Work closely with management to develop and execute risk management strategies.Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation. Qualifications and Skills: A Third Level Qualification in Health & Safety or a related field is required.At least 2 years of experience in Health & Safety within a manufacturing setting is essential.Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices.Experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly advantageous.Demonstrated ability to promote continuous improvement.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.Strong verbal, written, communication, and IT skills.Proficiency in conducting Health & Safety investigations.Fluent English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
